Chicago, I’m going to hate to leave you

Chicago is absolutely beautiful. It’s very bike friendly and it’s FLAT!!!! I’m gonna miss this place. Leaving early tomorrow. I hope to stop at Millenium park. Had hoped to go to the art institute also, but we can’t necessary do everything that we want. There can’t be something here, that could make me feel more inspired and pleased to have come, than what I have already seen. The Lakefront trail has shown me a beauty in this city, that I never expected.  It has left me speechless, so I’ll just upload the pictures of my experience today, and if they don’t provoke in you, the same, overwhelming desire to be here, then I’ve failed.

About rivercityweaves

I'm a mom, wife and fiber artist, living in rural Virginia. On days I'm not creating fiber art or teaching others how to, I'm probably saddle surfing on my Bianchi, or laughing with friends.

Thanks, Cherri, for the photos. Is that a green heron in #694?

Here in Richmond today was a perfect day for cycling. Sunny, temperature in the low 70s and moderate winds. A great day for the Cap-2-Cap.

Great picks, Spokie! Was it windy in the Windy City?

It looks like Spring is coming to the MidWest. Down here, the trees have all their leaves and pollen counts are skyrocketing. It occurs to me that the timing of your journey may give you one of the longest springs ever!

Not too bad. I hated to leave, but had other rides to make. Spring has paced me, the entire trip. No things like trout lillies are blooming here, and all the flowers I saw along the GAP are now here, in Wisconsin.

Any thoughts?
