I’m in WV for the last day of this visit. I’ve been sequestered away trying to finish a commission (part of my sewing/weaving/spinning business). I’ve been here 4 days and late last night, finally finished the commission. Yet I have to leave early this morning to meet my family at the house in Virginia. I was burgled last week and we need to go spend some time there to make it feel “safe” again.
The plan is family, and a warm fire and a pleasant meal together in the house. Hopefully, that will do the trick. I’ll be back up here, in WV on Thursday and hope to ride south on the Greenbrier River Trail at that time. I checked the distance from the trail to Lewisburg, and it’s only 5 miles. Those 5 miles though are on 219, which is narrow, windy busy road. It also gets me off the trail before the southern terminus. If I take the trail to the southern terminus, there is something called Midland Trail that goes into Lewisburg. I don’t know if that’s a bike trail, or a road name, or something else, but I’m very interested to find out, so John and I can take an overnight to Lewisburg, shop and stay over at a B&B, or hotel, then cycle back home, the next day. I’ll keep ya posted on that.
Gotta go. Remember, if you’re not having fun, you’re in the wrong gear.
Burglars are really miserable people. I hope you get your pedal.
