Ok, so I only got 14 miles today. The hubster rode with me today, so we took his pace/his distance. I’m thankful for his company. The plan was that I’d go on afterward and ride with the club, then meet him at the studio, change and head to Richard’s party. But, we slept a little late, and rode slow, had lunch together, and I had to go home to get my clothes. As a result, I missed the club ride. Richard’s party was great. He was truly surprised, and I think pleased. Am riding tomorrow, in the city. It’s so deserted on Sundays…. it’s like being in the movie “Planet of the Apes”. That dates me a bit, doesn’t it?
As I dilly-dallied this afternoon, I got my blinkie on my rack, and when I got home this evening, I got the new Tubus Logo rack installed. It only took me two tries. The instructions were solely visual (or almost so) and some of my braze-ons are too close together to get the allen wrench in place to screw the bolts in. Ah well, in my genius, I have accomplished it ;0D JK.
I’ll try to remember to shoot pics tomorrow, so you can see it. I still want to remove the Surly Nice Rack (front rack) and paint it a glossy black, to match the bottle cages, fenders, and rear rack. I really like the bikes I have. The Transit rack will probably go on Midge. I gave the Columbia away, and failed to remove the Pletscher rack from it first! Darn! OH well. I’m sure the bike will be fully appreciated.
Gotta go. I’m beat, but oh so content.
Go make your own breeze and remember: If you’re not having fun; you’re in the wrong gear.
