As is the custom, no miles today. I tried to get in a 30, though. We have that great hilly ride in Manakin on Thursdays, but this time of year, if you’re not cycling in the am, you have a good chance of getting stormed out. and That’s what happened.
My ride partner for the Civil War century was late registering, and didn’t make it under the deadline. He’s offered to bootleg it, and I’d be happy with that, cause I love to ride with him, but I’ll try to find an unused registration first.
Got a place to store my studio things for the duration of the Paterna Tour. Hooray. Betcha didn’t think I was serious, didya? Watch;0D As a matter of fact, I went out to price the tiny Acer computers, so I can blog the journey. I also ‘passed’ on buying it, to save for the journey. I also didn’t buy 12 little, lovely things, 2 pairs of cycling tights, and 2 cycling support tops, because I’m saving for the journey.
Here’s some news. I’ve had sore sitz bones for months now, and saddle sores, and could not figure out what I was doing wrong. Then, I go touring, and they go away!!!!! Now, I couldn’t figure this out, until I got ready to change the tires yesterday. My fat-n-nubbies are so cushiony, that they literally savin’ my A–. Yes, my 35′s are inflated to 65psi and I can cycle a century on them, and still have no bum pain. AND, on Wed. I maintained a B+ pace with the fat-n-nubbies. (for miles and miles) I’m comfortable for the first time in months;0D ‘cept my left hamstring, which just loves to let me know I’m alive.
For now, goodnight.
Make your own breeze, and remember, if you’re not havin’ fun, you’re in the wrong gear.
