Welcome

Ah, all settled in to my new digs. This blog space has such a good feel to it, doesn’t it. I think I’ll settle in and make it home.

Short ride today. about 12 miles up near Cartersville. I’m hoping to ride from home up to Cartersville, and then back on the Powhatan side of the river crossing at Maidens bridge soon. About exactly half way through the ride, we will be at the landing in Cartersville. I’d like to stop and half a dip, so I’m taking my suit. Hopefully, I’ll find a place to change.

One of the folks in club mentioned swimming in a swimming hole in the midst of a ride, probably during some touring, but because of where I live, this is a daily possibility for me. The river is a quick 2 miles away! Luscious;0)  It would be more fun, if I had more friends out here that rode.

Anyway, I’m barely at 100 miles for the week. Won’t be getting max # of miles tomorrow, because I’m going to participate in the RABA adopt-a-highway clean-up tomorrow. Then ride to ACT. I’d like to put 40 miles in later in the day, but everyone around here, seems to have problems with the heat, and I prefer to ride with a partner, or more than one, when I’m on a longish ride. Let’s see how tomorrow pans out.

Make your own breeze, and remember, If you’re not having fun, you’re in the wrong gear.
